Titan Team: Colfer Chooses Immaculata University

Cherry Hill, NJ – Shane Colfer (#TitanTeam ’19) is a very talented infielder for Camden Catholic High School (Cherry Hill, NJ). He came to us in October of his senior year seeking help with his Recruiting and Athlete Marketing. October is late for a baseball player so we had to work quickly.

First we had to produce a Baseball Skills Video for Shane. We most often produce them for college players wanting to go pro with tremendous success, so we simply had to employ the same technique that we have used for that past fifteen years. Shane is a very talented player so that makes the video easier to construct and we know exactly what to highlight for the college coaches.

Once the skill session was recorded we built the video and marketed him with our Titan Scouting Athlete Marketing Service. Shane wanted our Regional marketing which covered Maine to North Carolina and out to Ohio. He wanted to increase his odds of getting recruited and marketing beyond the local market is a good way to do that.

“Over 23 different colleges contacted us about Shane from all levels.”

We contacted hundreds of schools at all levels. Shane could clearly play Division 1, but was also not against playing for a Division 3 school. The field was wide open for him. The only question that remained was do they still need players at his position for the 2019 class. The answer was yes.

Within days and over the course of the next several months we heard back from and were communicating with a large number of schools.

Over 23 different colleges contacted us about Shane from all levels (D1 through D3). He was invited to a number of Division 1 workouts including Iona, Wagner, Towson and Fairleigh Dickinson. Time of was the essence. He was also invited to a number of Division 3 schools for visits.

With our Titan Scouting service Shane went from zero to full speed and became a highly valued recruit in just weeks.

“Your organization is top notch!”

By December Shane made his decision. Shane chose to play for Immaculata University a D3 school in Pennsylvania. He wanted to enjoy playing baseball and the college experience. While he had strong Division 1 interest he chose the best fit for him and that’s what’s important.

We heard back from his father Bill Colfer and he wrote, “Thank you for all of your efforts in trying to place Shane. Your organization is top notch! I will be passing your name to the Camden Catholic baseball coach for the players interested in playing college.”

We are very happy that the Colfer’s are pleased with our service and we look forward to keeping tabs on Shane’s college career.
